Dilaine started out in the dental industry as a dental assistant in 1987, and continued in this role until she found her niche in solving insurance challenges. In 2014, Dilaine went to work for Dr. Charles Blair, where she had the opportunity to help thousands of clients successfully navigate some of the most complex coding and billing dilemmas. During this time, she significantly contributed to the creation of a number of major insurance publications. During the pandemic, Dilaine was presented with a unique opportunity to step out on her own and share her years of quiet expertise in a more robust and public way- and this was the inspiration for creating Tidewater Consulting Solutions.

When Dilaine is not working with her clients (which she loves to do), you can usually find her enjoying life on Cape Lookout National Seashore. Her hobbies include boating, reading, shell collecting, flowers and plants, and spending time with her family and friends. Dilaine has been happily married for 36 years, and is the proud mama of 3 sons and 1 daughter, and currently is the happy grandmother of 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Dilaine is well known and well loved by her community, where her commitment to the elevation of others also shines through.
